Collision & PPF shop consulting

Shop consulting from someone who runs a certified shop.

It took us over a year to get through Jaguar Land Rover's program audits while running the shop ourselves. I help you get through OEM certifications, I-CAR Gold Class, estimating software and a PPF line in months — so you can keep fixing cars.

Did you know?

Your paint company may write you a six-figure check to sign.

Paint manufacturers compete hard for collision shops. A multi-year paint and materials agreement can come with a large upfront payment — we've seen offers around $150,000 on a five-year contract for the right shop — plus equipment, booth and training support. Most owners sign what the rep brings in and never ask.

We help you negotiate the agreement and time the signing so that money lands when you need it most: a new spray booth, aluminum room, OEM tooling or a shop refresh. We also read the fine print with you, because that money is tied to your purchase commitment and usually has to be paid back if you fall short or leave early.

How paint contract negotiation works

The path to an OEM certification

Most programs follow the same six stages. We run the paperwork and the planning; your team does the repairs and the training. Beyond the seven programs we hold, we help with all other OEM certification setups, tooling and aluminum repair room setup.

  1. 1Readiness auditGap list against the OEM's requirements
  2. 2Tooling & facilityEquipment, bays, aluminum room and layout to spec
  3. 3TrainingI-CAR Gold and OEM-specific courses

  6. 6Yearly renewalAudits, training and records kept current

About dealer sponsors

Many OEM programs require a sponsoring dealer. We can't provide one. What we do is get your shop ready — tooling, facility, training and paperwork — so the dealer conversation is an easy yes.

Shop owner questions

Can you get my shop certified?
No one can promise that — the OEM decides. We get you through everything they check, so you pass the first time instead of the third.
Can you do the I-CAR training for my techs?
No. Each tech has to take and pass their own courses. We plan, schedule and track it so nothing slips at renewal.
Do you work with shops outside Florida?
South Florida first, on site. Shops elsewhere can start remotely with a readiness audit; travel is quoted separately.
CCC ONE or Mitchell — which is better?
It depends on your insurer mix and how your estimators work. We compare them for your shop before you sign anything.
How long does an OEM program take?
It varies by OEM, tooling and training backlog. Doing it ourselves took over a year; the goal is to cut that down substantially.
What does it cost?
Automotive work is scoped after a free call — the right answer depends on which program, how many techs and what tooling you already have. No automotive prices are published.
